Sushi Roll Press with Push Plunger

Homemade sushi is more enjoyable when shaping the rice does not become the part that slows everything down. This hinged roll press gives you a defined cylinder to fill before moving the prepared rice onto a sheet of nori. Open the two halves, arrange the rice and filling within the chamber, then close the tube and use the plunger to push the formed roll out. The removable end cap and two closing latches are part of that straightforward manual layout, keeping the steps easy to understand without an electric appliance. The source diagram shows a length of approximately 27 cm. This press forms cylindrical rolls, not individual round rice balls, and the finished result still depends on the ingredients, filling and care you put into the process. Rice, nori, knives and rolling mats are supplied separately. Gather your ingredients, take your time with the first roll and enjoy turning an ordinary meal into a small hands-on project. Bring the sushi-night idea to your own kitchen table.
